'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess 2nd Season episode 5

A pot of rice, a diary, and the arrival of the adorable student Sakura.

Today is another peaceful(?) torture chamber. Tortured ambitiously prepares a Japanese-style pot of rice torture, but makes the fatal mistake of not pressing the cook button. During the 50 minutes it takes for the rice to cook, the princess and Torture spend a cozy time sharing stories of old times. The aroma of freshly cooked rice finally causes the princess to succumb.

That night, the princess is overcome with fear as memories of the secret diary she kept during her time as a knight resurface. She asks Torture to find the diary and burn it, but the answer is shocking! Torture has already read the entire diary under the pretext of inspecting her belongings. The princess collapses in shame at the revelation of her dark past.

Meanwhile, at Inki and Youki's house. While watching his favorite movie with the princess, Inki makes the mistake of forgetting to torture her. The next day, Inki demands her secret, holding the final volume (volume 6) of a foreign drama series hostage. The princess, yearning for a happy ending, easily gives in and is immersed in the drama's emotional impact.

Finally, Torturer's daughter, Sakura, steps into the torture chamber. Sakura presents her with a carefully prepared pancake as a "torture tool." The princess is once again overcome by Sakura's pure heart and the delicious pancake. Sakura rejoices at the news that her torture(?) was successful, and the episode ends on a heartwarming note.

Key Points to Watch and Comments

1. The "Dark History Diary," More Scary Than Torture. The diary episode, which was more psychologically damaging than the physical torture (food), was a highlight. The fact that Torturer, the strict administrator, perused the princess's diary was a "mental torture" more severe than any other torture. The princess's human clumsiness was highlighted.

2. The Torturers' Human Side: The Demon King and Inki. The Demon King's adorable bravado about needing a bath before watching a horror movie because he's scared, and Inki's forgetting his duty because the movie is so entertaining, once again prove why this series is a "healing story." The peaceful weekend scenery of the Hell Empire brings a smile to your face.

3. Sakura's "Angel-Like" Torture Debut. The hotcakes made by Sakura, the daughter of the Torturer, were the most healing moment of this episode. Sakura's innocence, delighted at the fact that her food "tormented" (and enjoyed) the princess, melted not only the princess's heart but also the viewers' hearts.
